(Philadelphia, PA – March 24, 2017) – The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Philadelphia) invites the local marketing community to the 2017 State of Marketing event at the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown on March 30 at 6:00pm. This highly anticipated event will feature keynote speaker Russ Klein, CEO of the national American Marketing Association. Klein will present a 2017 State of Marketing Address and share his outlook for the industry as well as what it will take to be a successful marketer in the years ahead. Marketing professionals of all levels are encouraged to join the discussion.

A true titan, Klein has led marketing and advertising teams in the C-Suite for 30 years, becoming a Fortune 500 CMO at just 29 years old. Among his impressive portfolio of clients are Dr. Pepper/7UP Companies, 7-Eleven Corporation, Burger King Corporation, Church’s Chicken and Arby’s Restaurant Group. Klein’s name has appeared on “top marketer” through the last three decades, including ADWEEK’s “Advertiser of the Decade” for the 2000s and Wall Street Journal’s “Digital Ad of the Decade.”

“We are so excited to have Russ join us in Philadelphia to share his expertise,” said Kelly Raible, President of AMA Philadelphia. “It isn’t every day you get to learn directly from a proven master of marketing. The event is part of the quarterly Marketing Leadership Series, which brings internationally recognized brands and thought leaders to address the major challenges and opportunities marketers face today while preparing for tomorrow. AMA Philadelphia recently hosted senior leaders from AstraZeneca and Google on topics ranging from driving customer engagement to winning the shift to mobile. This next event will offer an opportunity to network and a celebration of the local chapter and its volunteers.
